Triathlon 101
Fleet Feet Sports presents...Triathlon 101
This 8-week training program will put an emphasis on creating a fun, comfortable and motivating atmosphere for learning how to improve your swimming, biking and running, and how to put it all together for a sprint distance triathlon. This is a co-ed class.
Tri 101 Training Program Details:
Group Workouts: The group will meet for pool swim workouts Wednesday 7:15pm, and bike/run workouts Saturday 8am
Program Dates:
- Program meets June 4 - July 27
- Goal race is the USA Productions California Sprint Triathlon July 28
- Race distances are 1/2 mile lake swim, 14 mile bike ride, 3.1 mile run
Tri 101 Training Program Participants Receive:
- USA Triathlon certified coach
- Coached weekly swim and bike/run workouts
- Practice open water swim
- Race day and transition practice
- Tire changing clinic
- Equipment, nutrition, and running shoe tech talk
- 8 week detailed training plan
- Fleet Feet swim cap and race belt
- E-mail support from your coach
- Lots of encouragement, support, and FUN!
Tri 101 Recommended Activity Level:
- Must be able to swim 50 yards without stopping, bike 5 miles on the road and run/walk 1 mile
- Currently working out 3 times per week or more
Cost:: $149
Registration will open in May
Limited to 25 participants
Registration fee does not include race entry fee
Must be 18 years old to participate
