No Boundaries Beginner 5K (3.1 miles) Training

Run your first 5k! Never thought you could, but always wanted to try...here's how:  

Often, the first step is the hardest and that's why No Boundaries was created.  This program is your first step to a new and healthier lifestyle. It utilizes the run/walk method of training and very gently increases the distance and run time each week. No Boundaries is about helping you run/walk your first 5k (3.1 miles) and to create healthy life style habits in a fun group setting.

Training Program Details:
Group Runs: The group will meet each Saturday at 8am at Fleet Feet for a coached run

Program Dates in 2012: 

  • The spring program meets from January 14 thru March 17 - CLOSED
    • Goal race is Shamrock 5k in Dublin on March 18
  • The summer program meets from March 31 thru June 2 - CLOSED
    • Goal race is Hook and Ladder in Livermore on June 3
  • The fall program meets from August 18 thru October 20
    • Goal race is Grape Stomp in Livermore on October 21

No Boundaries Training Program Participants Receive:

  • Expert coaching and mentors
  • New Balance technical t-shirt

Recommended Activity Level: Able to walk one mile and the desire to learn to run
