Half-Marathon Training
Welcome to Fleet Feet Sports Half marathon (13.1 miles) Training Program. This program is friendly for both the first time half marathoner and the person that wants to feel stronger at the finish of their next 13.1. We use the run/walk method of training to help you reach your goals in a non-competitive and fun group environment. The first group long run is 5-6 miles. If you aren't at this point, sign up for the Winter Base Training class to help build a good base for the Half Marathon Training. A good base will help you to succeed in the half marathon distance.
13.1 Training Program Details:
Group Runs: The group will meet each Tuesday at 6:30pm and Sunday at 8am at Fleet Feet
Program Dates in 2012:
- Spring program meets February 28 - April 28 CLASS IS FULL - REGISTRATION CLOSED
- Goal race is the new Pleasanton Half Marathon on April 29
- Fall program meets August 14 - October 13
- Goal race is either Nike Women's Marathon* October 14 or Grape Stomp October 21

Recommended Activity Level: Able to run or run/walk 6 miles at a 13 minute per mile pace, minimum weekly mileage of 13 miles
